Looks like a head stud kit for an older LSx (<'04), but can't be sure. There should be a different number on the box, like 234-4110.

No one here can tell you for sure, at least not with the limited info that you have. You need to measure the studs, thread pitch/spacing, and compare that to what an LS1 kit would be. From the picture you posted, it looks like an LS1 head stud kit, but we can't be certain until the important measurements are established.

I'm pretty sure they should be an M11 (~.433") diameter with a 2.0 thread spacing, and the small ones should be M8 (~.315") with a 1.25 thread spacing.

What paper?

All Gen III/IV engines are metric, not standard thread. A 7/16" stud/bolt probably wouldn't even thread into the head bolt holes.

I thought the upper half of the stud was SAE, not metric.

That is a pre 2004 LS head stud kit. If it came with 6pt nuts, it is a 234-4110, if 12pt nuts then it is a 234-4316.

It could be, I don't know for sure. It doesn't really matter, as long as the portion that threads into the block is correct, and that's the portion I'm talking about. The threads in the block are metric, so the threads on the stud need to be metric as well. I've made the mistake of using an SAE bolt in a metric threaded hole, and it required a helicoil to fix.

I honestly never checked the thread but it would make sense that the upper threads are SAE. Also, I used an SAE 12 pt socket, 1/2" if I remember correctly but its been a while.

It very well could be, I've never measured either. It sure is a hell of a lot easier finding SAE threaded fasteners. When I made my own "Tim's Tool" to swap valvesprings, the closest place here in Houston that sold metric threaded rod was nearly 30 miles away.

Bumping this back up, the threads at the top of the stud are what? 7/16th 20?
