Default does the Manley Double Roller Timing Chain fit under the stock timing cover?

its been a while since I have done a cam swap in an ls1...
cant remember if the Manley Double roller timing chain fits under the stock cover or if I have to buy a different one

I seem to remember the SLP one fitting just fine, but that doesnt mean the manly will

just need an answer from somebody who has one and has tried it with the stock cover

Default Double Roller

As long as your not going to use a High Volume oil pump ( which is wider ) a double roller will fit.

The only way a Hi Vol pump will work with a double chain is grind out the inside of the cover ( in certain areas ). Also you will have to grind off part of the heads of M6 bolts on the front of the oil pump.

A Hi Vol pump was not mentioned but thought I'd let you know what my experience was with the setup in case you do have one....

All of the newer revised Melling HV pumps have a recessed Torx bolt now that fit flush with the cover on the front of the pump. No more grinding on bolt heads, hooray!

Even with the spacers my chain touched the back side of the Melling hv pump, but took care of the with under 5 minutes with the grinder.

Put a dab of cam lube on and around any spots you think might be close, assemble and turn over by hand a few times, then pullthe cover and pump back off and check for marks front and rear
