melling oil pump issues?

Question melling oil pump issues?

any one have any tips on using a melling 10296 oil pump? has any one had any trouble getting them to fit?

As long as you don't use a double roller chain it is a bolt on......

Update:

I "heard" through the "rumor mill" the casting was changed and they will now fit with a double roller TC w/o grinding anything.

IDK for sure..... Anybody out there know about this?

Yes, they revised the front cover and have recessed torx screws, therefore it does not interfere with the front cover. I have an older pump that has the regular screws. I called Melling and the tech said to call him back in a couple of weeks to obtain a new cover n screws.
