you ecm have a rev limiter that can be adjusted.when you get a new tune for your new motor have the rev limiter adjusted.

Stock limiter is 6200 (Pretty sure on that)

I shift mine at 6600 with a big cam

Based on the number of unnecessary exclamation points and the grammar, I'd say you're already at your reb limit.

But seriously, just rev it until it blows. Build another one to the same specs, subtract 100rpm, and that's your rev limit.

Maybe, just maybe, you should give us your specs on your build. Then we could probably tell you where you can rev it to. Or just figure it out on the dyno, when power falls off, it's time to shift.

stock lq4 bottom with 241 heads and ls6 intake. thats basically it everything else in stock t56 with 3.42 in the back and ls6 clutch.

but i think im probably cutting the heads just a bit cos it dosnt want to turn on it just cranks but thats about it check averything and it has two things the crackshaft sensor came up in the obd2 check and pull it out and replace it then still wont work so check the last thing that i thought it could be compression and i have no compression so im pulling the heads off to see whats wrong so i might as well just do some thing else with them or i might just slap on the pair of 317 heads that i have with some port and polish and maybe some cutting different spring and some rocker arms lifters and push rods any head i decide to go with im changing everything on it. but ill see if it runs before i can even press the gas.

It's a little hard to read your last post without any puncuation, but I get that you did it on a phone.
With that, it sounds like you have a stock cam, and I don't know about your valvetrain, but if that's stock as well, then leave the limiter at the factory limit of 6250. With the stock cam, you're not gaining anything by spinning it higher. If you have stock springs, you're going to get valve float above that anyways.

Probably not much difference between the two heads to be honest.
