Default Wanna upgrade from ls6 cam to Midrange cam need help....

Hey fellas wanted to say 1st off 100% to Texas-speed for my new ypipe works so fine, ok now I want to upgrade my ls6 cam to a 220 220 -565-/565-118 lsa how much rwhp over the ls6 cam will this make ?
An will it be quiet ?

My guess would be about 15rwhp gain, at most.

It will be quiet with the wide lsa But IMO i wouldnt go through the trouble of a cam swap for anything smaller then a 224 size cam and considering you already have a LS6 cam I would prob go even bigger then 224. Anything less and its not worth the trouble/time.

IMO, a tighter LSA (112-114) will give better low end power.

Screw that if you gonna buy a new cam spend the extra 25 bucks and have a custom cam specked just for your car.

that would be a good cam, but i would still get it cut on eps "lsg" lobes.

i gained 42hp on my EPS custome ground cam on the stock tune.

You can go a little bigger on the duration. Like a 224ish. It will idle smoothly as long as there's not too much overlap. Whether or not it's quiet has more to do with the muffler...
