Default Help! I think my cars about to blow

Ok i just found a 99 Z28 6 speed with all the options and only 70,000 miles, the dealership only wanted $7,400 for it. So i bought it lastnight, i put $3,200 down on the car and financed the rest. I havent drove the car but maybe 30 miles. I drove it home lastnight and to my parents house this morning. While at my parents house showing them the car, the car started knocking REALLY LOUD. (ive only got into the once, i did a pretty good burnout, thats it!) While showing off the car to my dad, i did the burnout, and RIGHT after that it started the knocking. I noticed the oil pressure gauge had flatlined, it had no oil pressure. So we shut the car off and check the oil, it was still full of oil, but we look really closely at the dipstick and we see LITTLE metal shavings in the oil. Ive talked to a couple mechanics and theyve told me, it sounds like the oil pump has went out and the metal shaving are from the main bearings. They also said most likely the pushrods and piston rods are bent. They told i will need a crank kit and a new oil pump.
Does this sound about right?

(Basically i think im pretty much FUCKED!)
I think im gonna try to get my money back thru the lemon law....hopefully...

so you beat on the car and broke it and now are going to try to have someone else pay for it?

So what oil pressure did it run beforehand.. 98's had an oil pump issue but I thought it was fixed for the 99's... Cut open the oil filter and have look see will give you insight too,,,,

No i drove off the lot, with a LS1 that only had 70,000 miles, a clean carfax and i drove it not even 20 miles and i did ONE burnout and it bends a rod. How is that my fault? Hell that could have happend a few weeks later from easy daily driving, and you think this is some how my fault?

Naa i havent done anything to it yet, i tryed going back to dealership and raising hell with them to get my money back but that didnt get me anywhere. I think im just gonna go talk to a lawyer, im not trying to pay for a car that has bent rods, spun bearing, bad oil pumps, etc...

I love how someone bust their motor and says (to fix the problem) I'm gonna talk to a lawyer tomorrow.

i never heard of a warranty only covering 500 dollars, **** you can rack that up easily on a small repair! i would definately go talk to a lawyer too... and after i talked to a lawyer about your options i would have him contact the dealership to see if they can work something out instead of going to court which could take forever.maybe even see if the dealership can do it under a warranty repair if you buy an extended warranty from them. i bought a mustang when i was 17 with about 45k on it and blew the rear end out in it 2 days after i got it and the dealership had me buy an extended warranty from them i paid the 100 dollar deductable and car got fixed

Well like I said I could see some bent push rods, broke springs, and those are easy to replace, did you try talking to the dealer before popin your top, screaming gets no where, well I hope you get it all worked out,did you have a mechanic look the car over before you bought it? What was oil pressure at from the first time you drove it? Did you test drive it, if you only had it for 20 miles there had to be something on the dip stick before, I guess there is a lesson in all this,
