Default Car smoking after cam swap.

So about two months ago I swaped a torquer 2 cam into my engine since then I have been noticing that it is smoking blue more than I'd like it to. Car runs fine just bugs me I never touched the seals during spring swap only thing I can think of is maybe because the car has 109,xxx on the clock and I swapped a high pressure oil pump maybe the rings are having a minimal amount of blowby dont know I want to get some new heads like the 5.3 stage2.5 from tsp to see if it will fix the smoking but that wont be till later. What do yall think is the cause of the problem?

I would say its most likely valve seals.

With the oil pump you put on it may be having more oil in the head for a longer period of time allowing it to leak past the seals.

EDIT: Why didnt you change them while you were in there?

Didn't think leaving the stockers would be a problem but I was wrong I guess.

Did you change your valve seals? I just ordered a set and they are leaking.

Is the PCV system correctly connected? Have you pulled the plugs to check if it is multiple cylinders or only one or two?

i would look at the PCV system as well, as when you have higher lift cams. they pull more vacuum, and will suck more oil into the engine. so if it is not the seals, the PCV system is the next look.

I pulled the plugs and it was hard to tell if it was oil because i really smelled like gas. I put new plugs and I am going to get tuned tomorrow so maybe it is just running really rich.

When you install the plugs, make sure there is an audible "click". If there isn't, the cylinder may not be firing. Been there, done that, have the "T" shirt.

I also have found some aftermarket wires are a bit more tricky to get correctly installed on the plugs, I removed my MSD's for that reason.
