Default Making a fast drag car?

Hi everyone. New to the site but my dad is in the car business and he just bought me a soon-to-be drag car. A white 2001 trans am with black wheels. It belonged to a GM tech but it has an LS1 with 101,000 miles. I'm 15 and drive a 72 chevelle (my first car) but I get my full license this fall but this will give me something to do. We have plenty of time before next season rolls around so I need to know what I can do to make it a 12-13 second car while keeping it street legal. Looking mainly for bolt-on's and things like that. Thanks.

you answered your own question. if all you want are high 12's low 13's just do full exhaust, tune and tires. you dont mention whether its auto or not. if it is put a stall in it.

Yes it's an automatic. And I wouldn't mind running around town with it either so should I go with a supercharger or turbocharger? And what brand and model? Part numers would be nice.

Ummmm Yeah.... Bolt On's would constitute Full Exhaust, Lid, Bellow, Maf, Throttle Body. All that and A 3400-4000 Stall, Slicks and good driver will get you deep in the 12's. You definetly don't need to turbo or supercharge your car to achieve 12's or 13's.

full exhaust, lid, tune, stall, tires. That should get you into low-mid 12's. Now put a bigger cam in it and you will be in the 11's or knocking at the door.
