Default need help

Ok here is what I got. I have a 6.0 block out of a 99 full size truck and I also have a set of 6.0 heads off a 2001 truck. What do u guys think my compression ratio would be? And what kind of cam do u guys think i sould go with and yes Im going to spray it?

Compression will be zero...you have no pistons or crank.

ok let me reword it for ya. I have a 6.0 short block out of a 99 fullsize truck. All the internals are stock

Just mine!

Find a manual that came with the truck or drop by your nearest dealership and ask them. I think it was 9.7 but don't quote me.

You C/R is going to depend on your pistons.. If when you mention the '99 block, it's a complete shortblock, it will have the dished pistons. In that case it will have 9.4:1.. With the flat tops, Escalade pistons you would have 10.0:1..

The LQ9 is the 6.0 HO with flat top pistons. The LQ4 is a low compression 6.0 with dished pistons. They share the same heads, both having 71.06cc chambers..

So then the cast iron heads and the aluminum heads are the same. They dont change the compression the pistons do. All I would have to do to get my comnpression up is either change the pistons or get the heads shaved?
