i have a similar cam to that. look at my sig. i'm pretty sure my cam has XE lobes but it makes great power to 6250rpm. it also has a great torque curve to go with it. this is on a 112 lsa though.

poltergeist 02 - do you have a cold start vid, or driving vid of this cam? Any time slips? That is pretty much the exact cam I was looking at. I have a 6 speed with similar mods to your car. I'm also thinking about the 114 lsa like the OP.

I run a VR-x4 from Vengeance Racing which is a 228/230 but I wanted mine on a 112 LSA. It is a Comp Grind so probably is that exact same cam. Got any pics of the nose of the cam, most inscribe cam info on the snout.

As for power. I always advise to comb the dyno sections. Look for cars with similar setups, mods, drive train. There will be some variation, no matter what.

I have seen this cam on a....

M6 2001+ Fbody
Headers + Cat Back Catted Y
12 Bolt and Textraila OZ-700 Clutch

Very similar to mine put down 405 RWHP and I want to say that was on their dyno, no track numbers.

I made 386 RWHP which to be honest is considered average for these cars. Some put up 10-15 more (Freak), but the average is in the high 300's.

Bringing this back up again... SmallBlock_383 Your sig says "rebuild finished" what was the outcome of this cam? Do you like it? Did you get it tuned/dyno-ed?

So far pretty good I like the cam has a real nice choppy sound to it, I have a mail order tune on it right now from Steve frost, haven't dynoed it yet but Ill tell you ive ran so far a 12.6 with the Restrictive *** stock ypipe, and a super quite pretty restrictive dynomax super turbo, with 3.23 gears. I know i can run 12.00s 11.90's like i sit with some gears and a nice free flowing exhaust. If i go to the dyno I prob can squeeze a few more hp out with a ls6 intake and when im done should be running 11.8s @3500 lbs.
But The cam i would say is just right, not to much and not to small. All depends on What your lookin to do with your car.
