Default Hydraulic lifter for race engine

Hi guys,

I have a 347ci LS1 built for racing, it has done 5 events,

Currently running a hydraulic comp cam (242/250 .619 lift) and am only using LS7 lifters, what lifters would be recommended for a full time race engine?

I see Comp have short travel race lifters that will require adjustable rockers,
Would I be better off going a solid roller?

Thanks,

David

What are you revving too? I'd think the morels would be fine.

After having a stock LS7 type fail in our LS6 road race corvette, we went to the Crane Billet lifters. So far so good.

Thanks guys, revving to 7400rpm, its a circuit/tarmac rally car, so its constantly up and down and even held at high rpm for long periods

Do you need adjustable rockers with the Morel Link bars?

Johnson and comp both have short travels. Neither of those require adjustable rockers if you measure your engine carefully on each valve...it is just a lot more work to do it and people are impatient. Plenty of people on here are running either of the above with non-adjustable rockers and custom pushrods.

Morel and Lunati have a few tie bar style lifters that we would prefer to use in a setup like this.

Yeah lunati just renames morel lifters so they are the same thing.

Those would probably work just as well, we just have more experience with the lunati and morel tie bar style lifters so I tend to lean towards them.
