Ported Stage 1 LS6 heads, good daily cam around 400 rwhp
Would like some input from you guys on a Good Daily driven cam with Ported LS6 heads, motor is a Stock 01 M6 LS1, I'm looking at getting the Precision Race Components Stg. 1 LS6 Heads & Cam Package from Texas-Speed. but need help deciding on the cam.. I'm also looking into some Kooks 1 7/8 headers Along with there True duals later on in the next year.. Just curious of what you guys would think of a good street-able cam a little better then the LS6 cam that would put me over or around 390-400rwhp..

I have heard good things about the 228r cam and torquer v2 as a dd ifyou want to go a little bigger then the street sweeper and torquer v3 are the way to go. Remember to get a tune

Just looking for something in the low to mid range that isnt going to have me change pistons or anything major like that.. Also wondering about fuel injectors + fuel pump.. and where my stock ones will stand with a low to mid range cam..

I have those heads and a Torquer V3 cam. My car made 400/364 thru a stalled auto and a 9" Ford Rear. Should be in the 4-teens to 4 twenties thru a six speed and 10 bolt.
Vengeance Racing did a Speed Density tune on mine.

400hp isn't hard to get if you are doing heads and a cam. You could get 400 with just a cam but it'd be a more radical cam to do so. Stock LS6 intake will get you there as well.
I like the idea of 1-7/8 headers with the stock size exhaust valves. That combo with the right exhaust lobe on the cam will make for some really good torque down low that still carrys great up top.

I am interested in this as well on a 99 6 spd SS with about 30k on the clock. Looking for bang for the buck with a broad power band. I am totally stock now but, thinking LS6 intake and Kooks with this package. Drivability and reliability are key for me.
