Default Cam swap 5.3

Is the 03 04 z06 cam a good cam for my 05 silverado 5.3 ho?

yes, supposedly worth 40-50 hp. no mods required on non-AFM/DOD(active fuel mgmt/displacement on demand) engines

Sorry, but you're not going to gain 40-50 hp with that cam and the power you do gain will be in the upper rpm range. I'd go with at least a 212/218 cam with a lsa ranging from a 111-116lsa, all depending on what type of use the truck will see.

A 224 cam is probably the most used cam in a 5.3 daily driver truck. Its a good size cam with some good amounts of HP gaind.

^ This. Since you have truck, you need torque. I have this same cam in my '03 Silverado (COMP 265 low lift) and it's stronger than a 6.0 down low and pulls like my LS6 up top. IIRC, the Cam Motion 212/218 on 113+4 gives the best of everything. The 212/218 is perfect cam for a N/A 5.3.
