Default aluminum 5.3L vs 5.7 ls1

hello, i have not posted before, but i have searched. my name is Zack, i am in the process of building an LS swapped Porsche 944 turbo. i have been looking for an LS1 but have come across a good deal on a 5.3L aluminum long block.
my questions:
-whats the weight difference in the 5.3L vs Ls1?
-can i use all LS1 parts on the 5.3?
-how much power loss will i have using the 5.3 rather than 5.7?
-i am planning on adding a turbo, is one stronger than the other?
-the 5.3 is basically an LS1 block with a diff. bore?
-in the long sceam of things, prices and available parts, which engine would be cheaper/easier to get parts for?

i will NOT go with an iron block due to weight. i need to keep the 50/50 weight distribution. all aluminum is key.

all parts can be reused on a 5.3 and yes u can punch the 5.3 block safely to ls1 specs ALUMINUM OR IRON BLOCK. THE SLEEVES ARE THICK ON THE ALUMINUM BLOCK

Did not know this, I stand corrected. Crazy thick sleeves I guess.

Aluminum L33 5.3 has gen 4 features like floating rods, coated pistons, and ls6 heads to name a few, plus compression is 10:1 instead of 9.6:1 like other 5.3s

what is the aluminum block out of? this affects tranny selection and such.

IMO the true LS1 should be considered fairly undesirable,it commands a premium price for the second worst intake ever put on these engines(except the late ones that got LS6), the later 5.3s got better heads, connecting rods were updated etc.
If I had an aluminum 5.3l with 243 heads or a 5.7 to choose from I would probably pick the 5.3l because the heads are better to start and the 5.3l will be cheaper letting you send those heads in for professional porting that can make them better than most aftermarket heads. Then if you want to do a full build later as has been discussed the 5.3l block has the same bore potential anyway.

Good info.

TSP seems to be boring them out quite often to a produce 383 stroker and $600 cheaper than using LS1 blocks.

Even though I love my aluminum 5.3, I would always choose an ls1 because as they say no replacement...
