Default Pushrod,What now???

I bought the MS3 cam package and it came with 7.40 Chromemoly pushrods and im going to be changing lifters over to LS7 lifters and found out this pushrod won't be what i need. I already have the pushrods and at this point was hoping i could purchase lifters that would replace my stock ls1 lifters in my 99 Camaro and still be able to use the 7.40 pushrods that i have. Any ideas?

Heads will be unmilled. Im changing springs of course and seals and retainers but not having the heads worked.

Why won't they work? Did you measure?

The ls7 lifter won't really change the pushrod you need. Its taller but has a longer plunger travel. As stated measuring is the best way to tell exactly what you need, but if you needed a 7.400 before, I would still run the 7.400 with the ls7 lifter.

Reason i posted this question is because when i googled ls7 lifters looking at prices one click lead to another then to another and a hour later i was all thrown off because i had read 10 different forums and got 30 different answers lol. Jakefusion- no i have not measured. Havent ordered lifters yet and when i saw what all i saw i posted this question.

TSP-Only thing im changing is pretty much cam (package) which i purchased everything from you guys except oil pump, intake and some small things here and there but the heads wont have any work done to them except what all i get from your package like valve springs, seals, retainers that stuff.

Based on your replies ill go LS7 lifters and see what happens.

TSP is a good outfit. If you need different pushrods and the ones you have are still in the package you may be able to swap them. Just get an adjustable an measure first so you don't have to install the 7.400" pushrods to find out they are not the correct length.

Ya Ive praised them for years. When I worked for the motorsports company I would always send my customers there way on LSX engines. Never heard a bad story yet that involved these guys.
