Where is my oil going?

Where is my oil going? I have a 422 that I built last year. I put about 900 miles on it last year with no problems. This year I've put maybe 400 miles on it and I'm going through a good bit of oil. Maybe a quart every 300 miles. The car is smoking on WOT runs and after watching Taner's video my car is detonating out the exhaust after a hard run like his. I ditched the PCV system and I'm running dual breathers. I'm running cometic head gaskets and studs. Any idea or something I should check?

This motor has a total of 1200 miles on it. It's barely even broken in. Did the rings not seat properly maybe? The motor hasn't been sprayed yet either.
