2.02/1.57 Rapid Stage 2

Had ARE 2.055/1.60 but I felt they were too big for stock bore and they flowed less than these.

why are you choosing the bigger stroke with the stock bore? I'm just curious b/c I have never really liked the big strokes and the small bores.... I like a moderate stroke and a larger than stock bore.(kind of like a big bore or a 6.0 liter engine).

Well, I have had two stroker motors, one a LPE 383 Vette, and now 382 MTI Camaro...what I like is that I can use a heavy car, mild gears and converters, and run fast. A H/C car can run just about as fast a stroker, but it will have to be lightened, use a lot more gear and stall, and run at a higher rpm...

for a heavy street car, it is nice having a long flat torque curve, and not having to depend on the launch to race someone.

With driver and other stuf, my car is nearly 4,000 lbs. I need extra cubes and dont want a big gear or stall.

SDB.... good reason

kumar........ thats kewl, I know how the money deal is and I'm just going to start a 6.0 liter instead of worrying with the stock aluminum until I can afford a c5r block.

Ya I wish I could justify 6200 for a block.

Didnt want to do iron to hurt the weight balance in my Z06.

I've only seen a few but the more serious all stroke motors don't do as bad as people think! The LS1 heads work fairly well on the smaller bore.

It's just that most of the bore motors are more serious to begin with.
