Default Advanced Induction 806 Heads

Looking for some info on the 806 heads that came on my 98 Ls1.. Thinking of doing heads and Cam at the same time here real soon. I know 806 are some of the worst ls heads out there, but if giving AI port, polish, and HC treatment with spec cam to match would there being any difference in upgrading 241, 799, 243 etc.??

I'm hoping for 450-470 rwhp with the supporting mods

LS6 Intake
1-7/8 LT
3" True duals
emissions delete
stock TB
SLP lid
M6

I was hoping not to buy coil packs, valve covers changing over to different heads.. What do you guys think looks like around $1700 upgrade

To the 241's not really but to the 243's you'll gain some

450 rwhp is pushing it. I honestly wouldn't expect that much of a gain. If you're not porting that tb or increasing injector size that'll be hard to reach. Make sure you get your tuning right as well. Is it an auto or manual?

I'll try different heads if I was shooting for 450 N/A. 410-420hp is doable

They may make 450 rwhp on a certain dyno but not on another. What it traps is what really matters

Dyno numbers are vanity - trap speeds are sanity. There are online calculators you can use to back calculate your HP. A dyno is a tuning tool

Well said! And yet more people still want to know their dyno numbers more than their trap speed numbers.

Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to even run the car at the track which is very disappointing....

Really looking for AI input on whether it would be a waste to do the 806 heads or go a different route... Rwhp is over rated I understand, but there's NP with have a goal....
