806 heads...
ok so would it even be worth wild to port and polish 806 heads? Or should i just get a stock pair of 243 and throw them on? i want to do either a v3 cam or ms3 and i havent decided what to do with the heads yet!

TSP no longer produces a V3 cam, they replaced it with a V4 cam. I actually have 806 heads and am considering the same thing. Not to take over your thread but does anyone know if 806 heads fit on a 99 vette?

I've had pretty good success with 806 heads. I still actually run them on my car. Ported intake side and good valve job made a nice difference. They flow about the same or maybe a touch better than a stock 243

806's with any decent port work shoud outflow stock 243's. I don't think the MS3 is going to be anywhere near an optimal cam for your setup. It will probably sound badass with loads of overlap, but won't make power until high up in the revs, lack some serious torque compared to a more optomized cam, and will require a good tune (and large converter for automatics) to avoid bucking and surging.
If you really are set on this cam, I'd advise a very solid bump in compression, and a tight lsa.

I had Adavanced Induction port my 806's. Car made 408rwhp theu a 9" with a reasonable street cam. The 243's are a better starting point so with a full port & valve job you'll see greater gains with the 243's.
