Head studs
Hi everyone, continuing with my turbo build, and needing some head studs. I'm running a fully forged 5.3, ls9 head gaskets, arp main studs etc.
what are advantages of aged arp studs vs regular arp studs?
I need the most clamping force possible w/o going with 1/2 inch studs. are the aged studs worth it? their pricey as hell.
any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks

If you are worried about lifting the heads after going with head studs, you may need to consider heads with a thicker deck or a 6 bolt block with matching heads.

Or autocorrect sucks and keeps correcting it to Costume Mage so you say screw it and throw on a "D" so it stops changing it.

China Head Std's = OK
Your answer = None.
Your BMEP pressure could be STATED ?
My method for sealing a 4K HP, high RPM engine, is too use my studs @ $ 100.00.
I then use a gasket, that allows fitment of Cooper Rings, a BFG Nitrogen Gas Filled S/S O-Ring.
This is the same method as is done in the Buick Indy engine.
The same method used to seal 10,000 PSI in a pipe.
When HP is lower, these items may not be required.
