Default TSP231/237 vs. G5X-2 cams

If anyone has any kind of first hand experience with both these cams TSP231/237 and G5X-2 please post up and let me know how they would drive in a street/strip car. I'm thinking of getting one of them installed w/ factory heads.

I also have the 231/237 with the mods in my sig... very liveable for a street/strip application, which mine is. I generally get out to the track between 5-10 times a year, plus I drive my car about 3 days a week, with at least one of those days commuting through heavy traffic to work.

Even on the canned Predator tune (should have a custom today), it's surprisingly liveable for such a big cam.

It seems A LOT more people have the TSP cam over the LG cam.

i would think thats due in part to it being cheaper, producing similar results, being as driveable, and knowing they wont have to change springs for a while...at least thats why i bought it

That's the reason it's on my "Top three list of all time favorite cams"

From what I have seen, the X2 makes more power. I have 2 friends with that cam that made ~450 rwhp with LG heads. My 231/237 cam with PP heads made 419. The X2 also idles rougher, and seems to be harder on valve springs.
