Default just got new cam and springs want to replace timing chain ??

My engine now has over 100K miles on it and still the same timing chain I'm doing my cam swap, so I'm going to also do my chain, which one should I go with? i'm Running a Vortech 9lb kit, with long tubes, 220/226 .564/.569 -114+4 918 springs and titanium retainers.

Being a 98 I would go ahead and throw on a new one. If you have the money to do everything else... buying a little insurrance never hurts.

While your doing the timing chain you should do a ls6 ported oil pump too, you can pick one up for approx $140

I just installed a Rollermaster double roller chain/ported LS6 oil pump in mine both went on pretty easy but I did have to machine my old ASP pulley for clearance.

I used the GM heavy duty chain and dampner which will bolt right into a 98 block.
