F/A 427 PREDATOR ..........550 RWHP daily driver?!?!?!?!?
Hi everyone, I just thought I would take a minute to introduce you to our latest package offered here at FASTECH. The package, when complete, is known as the F/A 427 Predator. The Predator Package is available at a couple of levels and can be configured to be anything from a docile 550 RWHP street ready daily driver to an all out race course terror. The base package consists of the following items:
1. C5R based 427 short block assembly.
2. LS6 or AFR Ported castings.
- 1 piece stainless steal intake/exhaust valves (2.10/1.607)
- T&D shaft mount rockers.
3. Complete air intake system.
- FAST LSX 90 mm Intake & 90 mm Throttle Body
- Smooth Air Bridge and Belows
- VaraRam Cold Air Induction Kit
4. Complete Exhaust system.
- Kooks 1 7/8 Primary LT Headers
- Choice of Catted or Offroad X Pipe (3”)
- Choice of Catback system
5. Clutch or Automatic Transmission Upgrades.
Clutch
- Ram Clutch Disk and Pressure Place
- Fidanza Steel or Aluminum Flywheel
- McLeod Adjustable Clutch Master
- New GM Slave Cylinder
Automatic
– Level 4 Automatic Transmission and Converter
- Vacuum Controlled Line Pressure Conversion
- Stall converter matched to your application
6. Other Available Options
- Complete Wilwood Brake System with 13.8” rotors front/rear, 6 piston front calipers, 4 piston rear calipers
- Custom rear mini tub will allow installation of 345x30x19’s
- Custom wheel and tire fitment options to clear brake and suspension modifications.
- Various suspension modifications to suit your application.
We completed our first F/A 427 Predator this past week and will have the car on display at our Grand Opening Celebration/Dyno Day Aug 21st. Our intended purpose for this particular Predator was for it to be a true daily driveable supercar , and with 550 rwhp on tap with emissions equipment in place , we exceeded our original goal. This car has every available option associated with the Predator package, with the exception of the AFR cylinder heads . In the true spirt of “too much is never enough” , We will be installing the AFR cylinder heads and also a solid lift cam very shortly and I’ll be sure to let everyone know what kind of gains we see with these additions. I’ll finish with a few pics and a dyno sheet, so that you can get a feel for just how nice this car really is.
There is no way I could even come close to describing the amount of time and attention to detail that goes into building a predator in a single post , If you have any technical questions feel free to give me a call and I’ll take the time to walk you through every step if necessary.

Sheriff Brady...as in the Sheriff killed by the Regulators (including Billy the Kid)?? Ya know...he got a 1/2-second drop on ol' Sheriff Brady after he filled the front sight down...

My guess is between $35K and $45K for the upgrade.

I don't think it is that high. More along the lines of 26k or something. That's not bad considering you will have a brand new car that is going to be just awsome.
