Default What to do with junk block???(Pics of blown motor)

Alright, well the sleeve of one of the cylinders is cracked bigtime. also, the bottom half of the piston/rod is lodged up against the block and i'm pretty sure it's crap too. So what do you guys do with the crappy blocks? Also, I think there is a huge gash on one of the journals of the crank. So obviously depending on how bad it is, if it's crap, what have you done with that? Thanks

Chris

Ya I think that crap happened to mine too (rod bolts). Mine let go at 6k , and about threw the rod throug the block. I should have taken pictures of the block when I had it. But ya, mine broke a rod bolt, then broke the second rod. Didnt sound too good either. I can take pics of the 2 pistons I took out, and look like yours. Then I had the fun part of swappin motors.

Let me know when you come up with a good place for your block. Mine has a few extra "vents" now too. I'd LOVE 30$ in exchange for mine. I could go buy something cool with $30.

Boat anchor

or you could try to remove the sleeves yourself and take the block to an aluminum recycling place- probably get $50 or so for it.
