Is it possible to make 500 NA rwhp with stock crank
I would like to know if this is possible and what block heads cam etc to buy. I plan on using 6.0 liter motor as a core.

No dyno numbers on my combo (sonce you can't race on a dyno), but I would think I'd put down 500+rwhp with my ARE "big-bore" 382cid motor...
Details in the .sig and on my webpage...

making n/a it on the other hand could be tricky but definately possible. w/ nice heads and 12.5:1 you can do quite a bit ;D

It's not only possible but I can ship you one (396 cubic inches, alum block) complete with ported LS6 heads for $7000. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Is it possible to make 500 NA rwhp with stock crank
IN my opinion no way will you reach 500RWHP without running an aggressive solid roller cam like GEORGE C and with a 6 liter block that can only be bored over to 4.060, unless you plan to sleeve the ironblock to a 4.125 bore size.
Keep in mind that an all bore motor is usually bored out and resleeved to 4.125 and max bore on 6 liter ironblock is going to be 4.060 unless you releeve the ironblock. Even with a 4.060 overbore on ironblock you better first get it sonic tested to assure enuff cylinder wall thickness b/f going .060 over.
GOOD LUCK,

There was a 388 all bore that put out about 510rwhp and 480rwtq on here a while back.
Don't remember who's it was.

Re: Is it possible to make 500 NA rwhp with stock crank
the HPS store not only had an F1 supercharger on an iron block...but a nitrous kit as well...if that stock crank can take all that punishment it can definatly handle 500 hp

Well why would anyone throw the money down on a stroker if this can be done. My buddy Jay is running 9's with almost stock cubes
