yes. A valve spring compressor tool. Check the tools of the trade forum.

If the engine is out of car and heads are coming off, a lever type valve spring compressor will work. if heads are not coming off, VHP valve spring compressor is a slick tool, iar up cyl and remove two springs at a time

The VHP/Crane tool is great for in car swaps.

I like the larry tool from tools of the trade section which was like $25. And I used it in-car with an air compressor holding the valves up

My vote is for the Crane tool. I believe you can pick it up at Summit and Jeg's for $106. But there are several sponsors that sell them as well. I believe I got mine from Thunder Racing.

I picked up the Larry spring tool for 40 bucks. just got it in the mail last week, and it is a quality piece. Can't wait to put it to use. will prolly use TDC method to keep valves up.

Yep, if you can't get a Larry tool the VHP/Crane tool is the way to go. I also use the TDC method to hold the valves up. I just stick a straw in the plug hole to double check that the piston is all the way up.
