Like I said, NO, by the time you spend your money on fixin them up, you could have saved some more cash and went with the AFR's. Hands down the AFR's are the way to go. Don't waist your time or money on your stock heads, just dig up the cash and get something that you will not wish you would have gotten.

that's what I was thinking, so I didn't see what's so bad aobut porting stock heads...but I guess in the end it might cost just as much as AFR's unless I can find a good port job for really cheap

I considered porting my stockers, but before I did I added up all the cost for all parts plus machine work. In my case it also effected what pistons I was going to get. In the end I went with AFR. it was like a $400 difference.
