Default Valve choice

Looking for some good 2.02 and 1.60 valves. What are some good ones to go with?

I hear Ferra are good, Scoggin Dickey has some good priced ones and patriot has some inexpensive ones as well.

There were some issues with patriot valves on their heads. I believe the issues have been resolved, but you may want to look into this and make sure first. Can't go wrong with Ferra or rev either.

A valve job is performed on the seats not on the valves.

the valve job is done on the seats and the valves. you grind the seats just as you do the valves.

Most bare heads come with a valve job done. You change the angles on the valves such as if you have a 55°/50°/45° (45° most popular in street applications) seat angle. Also the are back cuts on the valve too. All these affect the flow of a head and change all that around.

I like the REV valves. We use them and have no problems or issues out of the valves at all. Another thing I like about them is they are not as heavy as some other aftermarket valves.

The valves are lapped and the seats are angle cut. in general when you say a valve job, that means multi angle seat job, valve lapping job, guide job etc....
