unbolt motor mounts, jack up engine via bellhousing and 2x4, unbolt k-member, pry it down some, pull off oil pan.

I am doing a head and cam swap and the pan has to come down some to loosin the bolt on the pick up tube. I am trying to get the pan off so i can remove the old gasket and put the new one on.

What size cam? Since you will be in there, I recommend doing the rod bolts too if you will be spinning much over 6500 rpm.

Well i just got the pan out and it was a breeze thought it would be tough but it wasnt hard at all. Now i need to buy some rod bolts, which ones do you recommend? Also when you take the old gasket off the oil pan do you rip it off or drill out the rivets? Thanks

Drill the rivets and get Katech rod bolts. You will be good to go.

Katech, though a lot of people still run ARP as well. Important thing to have if you spin past 6500 rpm very long, IMO.
