Default MTI Stealth II Cam Come In

I'm probably going to purchase the MTI Stealth II cam in a few weeks and I wanted to found out from those already running it how it is on a daily basis.

First, does it have the dreaded "sewing-machine" sound associated with bigger cams?

Secondly, how is the driveability around town, parking lots, parking garages, stop and go traffic, etc? How's the sound, as-in, does it appear to sound stock still?

Third, are you impressed with this cam or would you have stayed stock, gone Z06, bigger, smaller?

Thanks in advance to all that reply!!

I am very impressed with the Stealth II. Truely a Wolf in sheep's clothing.

Drives normal untill you stomp on it, then it just keeps going. It is a very nice 224 cam.
Does not lope (at leat not chopchop, but more like a nervous stocker). That will depend on idle stting and catback used.
I've had mine for over a year now with bolt ons, 3:73 stock rear and VIG 3200 stall.
11.61 NA and 10.87 on a ~150 shot dry.
I'm waiting for my PRC heads to get in the mid 10's on spray and low 11's NA.

What about the "sewing-machine" noise??

If you have proper lifter preload set, no more than stock really.

How do I accomplish this? Adjustable rocker arms or custom length push rods? How do you check? Thanks!

I have non adjustable stockers and 02 LS6 valves so I had to use 7.35's. LS6 valves are 6 mm taller than LS1.

On your stock heads/valves I would get 7.425 Comp p-rods with stock rockers. 7.40 (aftermarket stock size) will work but will make a little more noise.

Now if you have the $$$ and are willing to dish out over $650, you could get a Crane 1.7 variable lift kit. That will give you even better numbers down low lifts without affecting your high ones. I would say an extra 10>15 rwhp. But they are not cheap. BTW the Crane rockers come with p-rods (they are shorter due to the design of the rocker)
If you do get the Cranes, it is also best to run their springs with that.

Oh, and ABTW, I run 918's on mine.

No the LS2 is the same casting but not the same valves. With LS2 heads you'll need 7.400 or 7.425
I would use 7.425 to keep things a bit quieter.

Do you have headers on the C6? if not you might want a standard split cam. If you want to stay stealth, this is what I recommend,
218/230 .604/.604 116+2 LSA, this is a custom grind XFI lobed Comp Cam.
