Default what cam should I use

My motor right now has Patriot performance stage 2 ls6 head w. 59cc, 2.02/1.57valves. I wanna know what cam is going to be great with these heads. I am looking for alot of power but I drive the car probally 10 miles a day. The car is a 6-speed so I am looking for a nice power curve. I was thinking about thunder racing t-rex v.2 but not sure. The cam that came with the heads is a 226/226 .585/.585 112Lsa? I talked to Paul at thunder racing and he recomended their 230/236 .590/.598 112lsa cam.

I was thinking t-rex, but Pual at thunder racing told me that it would be good on the street at all, even with the short miles I drive everyday. I checked out the texas speed magic stick (237/242 .603/.609 113Lsa) and I am not sure if that will work on the streets either, but I will contact them and find out more info.

Also Lunati has a voodoo cam (232/238 .599/.601 113Lsa) I really don't know much about cams but thise one looks like it is in the range with T-rex, & Tsp Magic stick.

With the heads you have and with flat top pistons, you need to make sure about P/V clearance with the T-Rex or the Magic Stick.

sorry, I missed typed, paul said the t-rex would not be a good cam for my set-up. He said it would be nearly impossible to drive on the street.

I run an XE-R 230/236 .596 .601 112 +2 cam and it's great on the street. Speed density tuning made it very docile.

Try an F13 over the cam they recommended. I have this cam and it is a great daily driver.

The cam that came with the heads are 226/226 .585/.585 112Lsa. Would f13, f14, or torquer 2 be better then that?

Yeah most definitely. Personally if I was looking for a cam around those specs I would go with the F14. Heard soooo many good things about that cam - puts down some nice numbers as well.

there is just too many cams out there that will do the job good, I am just looking for the cam that will do great for my wanting. I looked at the f13, and f14. I am thinking about going with the f13 112Lsa because the power range is 2500-6800, then I could set my limiter to 7000 rpm. But then I look and see the ms3 and I think about how nice that would be. Then the streetabilty question comes back into mind. I looked at the torquer 2 and it seems like it is alot like the f13. I wish I understood cams alot more and could just do the math and find out which is the best with my heads and stock bottom end.

Would I have to do any modifing with the f13 cam? I have patriot gold springs which are good for .650 lift (so they say) am I going to have to shim them?

Thanks for all the help

Maybe this would help me out a little, what would be a good duration and lift for 59cc heads, 7.400 pushrods, stock pistons, patriot gold springs and rev LS valves (2.02/1.57) Daily driven car

I purchesed the MS3 a few weeks along and I am waiting to still recieve it actually; not real sure on why TSP is having a hard time sending my stuff. Anyway the MS3 is a good DD cam. I made a thread a while back asking about the driveability and everyone said its a DD cam. I will find the thread for you as well....give me a second.

Is their any mods that I will have to do for that cam with the stage 2 ls6 patriot performance heads. Also my heads are 59cc, what is my estimated rwhp with this set-up and the ms3 cam?
