will it hold up? probably, for a few miles, until you decide to romp on it and then you bend the **** out of one, and maybe even **** up that pushrod slot.

you're spending ~500 on springs, but question getting better pushrods? doens't make much sense to me.

TSP 231/237? You don't need Comp921's. Great upgrade, but Comp 918's do fine with that cam (I ran it like that no problems- no valve float). If you want a dual spring, get the PRC or Patriot Duals for much less money than 921's, and they're damn strong.

The TSP231/237 is on Lunati lobes that are less agressive than XE-R lobes, so despite the near .600 lift, the cam is not a spring killer.

As for hardened PR's. Yes, you need them.

By the way, that cam's a dog down low- you need gear (which I think you have). It lopes well though. Sounds mean.

What kind of spring do you have on the car right now?

I just saw your other thread and you say you have springs good for .600 - those are fine. No need to swap them out for the 231/237.

Again, great peak HP cam, awesome mph at the track. Dog down low.

with the rpm it will take to make the 231/237 perform it's best a hardened pushrod should be mandatory.even with a missed gear on the stock rev-limiter some pushrods go south.

Texas Speed & Performance has awesome prices on PRC duals. 7.4" pushrod length is what you need. You can either keep stocker retainers or opt for the titanium retainers, or get Comp steel retainers, or re-use whatever you've got, which has got me thinking.... find out what O.D. your Lunati springs are. If they're wider than stock, your head has probably been worked to seat them. You'll have to find similar O.D. springs or get shims to use stock O.D. springs if this is the case.

As for the cam, I trapped 118mph, cam only, full weight, daily driven tire with the 231/237. It hauls ***. Great upper mid range and top end. I wound mine out till 6900rpm. Later, with heads and QTP HVMC LT's and FAST90, the car put down 480rwhp, so that cam has lots to give.

^ If your heads are milled any, check PTV and perhaps 7.35" PR's are the better choice. Bring this up with TSP when you call them. If not milled, 7.4" PR's and PTV should be plenty fine.

BTW, TSP is running a special for the PRCS and there hardend P/Rs for cheap. Give them a call. Plus, mention the new site and you get $10off.

The 231/237 is a great cam for "roll" racing and high speeds. I run 3.42's and tuning and the car runs great, just wish I had more low end power. Have fun with the cam. If you don't have true duals, you'll want them with this cam. The cam sounds mean!
