Default Got a new Cam. need springs, retainers, etc.

I got a new cam and I want to order springs, retainers and hardened pushrods asap. What companies should I go with for the parts and where is a good place to order them for decent prices?

I want to install the cam before the end of march so I will probably be ordering them by the second week of march.....thanks for any help, info or advice.

what cam is it? I just got an FM14 and I ordered my spring kit from Speed Inc, Patriot Gold Duals, 249.99 and they shipped them free.

its a Z06 cam....nothing crazy but it works for the setup I am going with and my friends pitched and bought it for me for christmas. Does that spring kit come with the retainers as well?

edit: saw the kit on speed inc...looks like a pretty good deal. What about hardened pushrods? Is that something I should do when i do my cam or can I just wait and do it when I do my heads?

all you really need with the ls6 cam is ls6 springs. SDPC has a good price on them, hardened pushrods is a good idea too, the springs I was referring to would be overkill with that cam.

Do I need to replace the retainers as well if I do LS6 springs? I have nitrous so would it be better to go with a 918 spring?

nah man you dont sound dumb, but spray or not I would stick with the ls6 springs on that cam. how much are you trying to spray?

IMO anything else is a waste of money (but Im always on a budget with my mods so...)

right now i have an NX wet kit and i am spraying a 100 shot....my other mods are a loudmouth catback, 3.37s, lid, bbk tb, and some suspension mods. I want to do things right and like you i dont have an unlimited amount of money. My plans are to do the cam install and get a set of longtubes in march and then finish my suspension. Eventually I wanna get a nice set of heads but that wont be for a few months.

If I go with LS6 springs, what kind of retainers and pushrods should I go with...when installing the cam is there ANYTHING else I will need to install or replace?

btw, whats SDPC?

thanks for all the help man

do you think that would be a good spring/retainer for an LS6 cam?
