Default 2.02/1.60 Stainless Valves

Lookin to buy a set of Ferrea 6000 Stainless valves, but not sure what you guys think of going with the 2.02/1.60's vs the stock sized 2.00/1.55's. With the larger valve, after machining the seats to accept those valves, will I be running the head too thin between the seats (cracking)? Not sure if it is worth going up a size, for only a $10 difference. Would love to hear what you guys think?

Deffinatly worth it if the heads are ported to match.

Stock seat ring sizes are 2.040 on the intake and 1.57 on exhaust. Your valve job/seat will be on the aluminum with the 1.6 valve. The 2.02 will work fine, as for valve spacing there is lot of room between the 2. You should put an oversize seat in the head if you want to use the 1.6 and make it right.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll stick with the stock-sized valves for this setup for now. The mrs. is already all over my butt for spending so much on the car after grenading the stock shortblock (gotta love FI). Thanks guys... appreciate it very much.

Bought a set of Ferrea 2.02's, will the manley 1.575's work with this without installing a new seat? Don't want to get too close to the head, by leaving too little seat material. Again, this is going to be for a moderate-boost application (12-15#)

Anyone? Will the 1.575's work with the 2.02's I just purchased without installing new seats?

Thanks for the response, guess I'll order my 1.575's and see how it works out.
