Default Stropes Speed Shop

Thinking about using Stropes Speed Shop in Washingtom PA for a H/C Package on my MN6. Has anyone got experience with these guys? What are your recommendations. Please either respond to this post, PM me or email at jaymullen@earthlink.net.

Thanks

I have used them for parts/advice on my car when I was running a 383 sbc. They were very helpful and always returned my phonecalls. Excellent service.

I don't feel like typing out my whole experience so I'll just say steer clear of those hillbilly knuckleheads.

They're very helpful till your down the road and they have your money.

No personal experience here either, but I have never heard anything good about those guys. I would steer clear of them if I were you.

Thanks everybody,

I'm getting the message. I've also gotten quotes from LPE, Cartek and Vette Dr's. I know all three are excellent Tuners but the 7 - 8 hour drive each way is a drawback.

Guess I'll have to rethink that.

Any good tuners in the Pittsburgh area???

We can do the work for you. we arent far from you. we are located in Mt Pleasant PA. www.JJsautomotive.com and we can also tune your car for you. if you do a search around the local PGH area youll see alot of cars are worked on here. StreetNstrip is the tuner, him and 7.0Firehawk i think is his name also works here.

Strope =

Wouldn't let them work on my kids bicycles...

Don't have any experience with JJ's, but GMR Speed in Ohio is not too far and they do some excellent tuning. My first tune was done by Mikey @ Rapid - he did a great job - just didn't like the 4.5 hr drive each way

I've been to the Vette Dr's facility here near Washington DC and it is second to none. Never had any work done by them but by judging by their facilities they are a top notch place. I imagine they cost alittle more though. If you want some real world feedback on them post on some of the C5 forums they have the real scoop.

I've never had any work done at Stropes but when I lived in Pittsburgh, I never heard one good recommendation for that shop.
