Default What cam with stock everything else?

What would be a good cam size to upgrade on the stock ls1 cam. Looking for something for the street just less mild than the stocker. Thanks.

The CheaTR cam might be one you'd want to look into.

Factory '02 LS6 cam can be installed with just a spring upgrade (factory LS6 springs). Tuning is not necessary, but it's recommended to extract every last hp. Not too many cam upgrades will allow you to cheap-out on tuning, springs, or pushrods. You basically get what you pay for. Spend more, get more.

honestly I wouldn't upgrade your cam without bolt-ons...especialy without full intake and exhaust.

Guys, not everyone wants headers on their cars.

02 LS6 cam or Lingenfelter GT 2-3. Both these cams work well with exhaust manifolds and you or anyone else won't be able to hear that you've got a bigger cam in there. Both will pass smog and give good gas mileage. Both will require better valve springs (02 LS6 springs at a minimum) and you should replace the pushrods especially if your car's a stick.

I will definatley finish my bolt ons first, got my exhaust on the way, and then soon intake. By the the way though, i am going to be running some headers.
