Default Any tricks to taking the cam timing sprocket off?

Hey guys i am trying to put a double roller timing chain on and I can get the crank sprocket off, do i need a pully puller for it?

use a 6" 3 arm pulley puller thats what I used

Yes, I believe the crank sprocket is pressed on. Not sure if you can simply use a 3 jaw puller or not as ive always used ls6 or ls2 timing chains.

try cooking it in the oven... (It will be warmer and expand, while the crank snout is still cold and "small.")

Maybe a short section of exhaust pipe and a rubber mallet?

some people say they used the old gear for a spacer to push the new one on...

it will seat when you tq down crank pulley, and 3 arm works fine i just did it

ya that crank sprocket is just like the harmonic balancer pulley... 3" pulley puller worked great
