Opinions on LPE 229/242 .631/.631 114 CL ?
What do you guys think of this cam from Lingenfelter?
229/242 @ .050 .631/.631 114 CL
Would this be more streetable in an a4 than say an MS3, MS4, T-REX, etc. ??
Also, would this cam be good for a blower?

I have this cam in my Z06. 442rwhp, SAE.. It's pretty choppy at idle. I recommend good springs(921s) due to the high lift and XER lobes. I have a really good tune but it still stumbles around a little when it's cold. Letting it warm up for 30 seconds-1 minute prior to driving alleviates most of that.
Once warmed up it runs great! Expect peak power at 67-6800; my rev limiter is set at 7K. I've run it only one evening since the mods(on stock F1s): 11.7@122mph with a 2.12 60ft. With cool air and stickies, I expect low 11.30s@124. Feel free to pm with any additional questions.

The intake will restrict it to around 6300

I'm sorry you disagree, but it's fact. It has the LS6 intake(it's a Z06), ported heads, and a ported throttle body. I don't have the ability to scan the dyno sheet, but *trust* me, I'm not lying, what would I have to gain by saying something that isn't true? I'm looking at the graph right now, it peaks at 6800 and trailed off just a bit until the rev limiter kicked in at 7K. If you choose not to believe me thats your perogative!!! Man, Only three posts on this site, and I'm already being called a liar!

I have the same cam on my 03 vette. I got the LPE H/C package from them and it make power all the way up to 6900. It is a monster. I have since had it retuned locally so that I could take advantage of those higher rpms since their tune had me shifting out of it at 6200. My tuner was impressed that it was that stout. My dyno sheets from them showed 420 / 369 on dynojet. Hutter racing tweeked it to 440 / 380 on a mustang dyno. Needless to say I was happy before and now I'm even more happy.

Man it cannot be.
Cam peak is IVC related and although a cam may have potential to peak higher, the LS6 intake resticts it. Even a FAST 90 will restrict it to lower than 6700.
it is just a fact of design.
When I said AROUND 6300, give or take + 100 or so. But no way higher than that.
Otherwise we would never need any thing better than a LS6 intake.
It is the intake runner length and there is no way around it even if you have the biggest of all cams in there with an IVC of 50+.
I'm not calling you a liar, either your graph has a spike which you see as a peak, carries nicely and flat and you are not reading correctly.
I have a cam with a IVC of 49 (higher than yours) and it peaks right after 6300. It will carry till 7000 and beyond. (although I've never taken it past that)
There is no way around it as long as you have a LS6 intake (or FAST for that matter)

I am not going to get into a urination contest about this. I'm looking at the graph: It doesn't peak at 6300 and hold there, it climbs all the way to 6800 and then slowly falls off at the rev limit(7K). We'll just agree to disagree... Power peak is 6800, period, end of story. You can think it's 6300 all you want...

Whatever man, but just out of curiosity search around and read one of DenzSS on rpm VS CFM requirements maybe you'll believe what he has to say. Also PM Patrick G and see what he says.

As for peak power #'s,I have actually seen some of these Cams peak at 6500-6800rpm even though they shouldn't by the Specs. Can't explain, just happens.

With any of the cams you mention, you'll need a higher stall converter. It all depends on what you want. Do you want Max Power, or do you want perfect stock like driveability??? If it's the latter, I think the T-Rex, g5x4, etc will be too big for you. Opinions are like a@@holes though; everyone's got 'em..
