Default Should I get the T-rak or not?

So after being pretty well decided on the T-rak cam time came up to order it and I wasn't sure it was what i really wanted with the .640 on the intake lift. The car is going to be a daily driver so i need something "streetable" (i know, i know) so does anyone have any suggestion on a cam that they have had and liked or seen many others like, im tryin to make it around 430HP and keep the TQ AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE when setup with the patriot 243 casting heads and all the supporting mods

tne 232/238 cam in my sig has .640 lift intake and drives perfect, but I have a really good tune so basically if you have a good tuner id go with it. BTW why are you swapping out the trex?

i hate living in high RPM's and i LOVE TORQUE = not the T-rex

Plus i guess i jsut want something a little more streetable that can hand going below 2K RPM's with cam surging.

I have heard good things about the LSK lobes.
But they have got to be murder on springs expecially in a D&D
Just get a good set of duel srpings and check them often.
Should be ok.
Good luck.

The TRak cam is not a low rpm torque cam. It's a high hp cam. If it were ground +4 (instead of +2), that would help. If you want torque get a 228/232 110LSA +2 cam (in either XE-R or LSK lobes).

Futral cams like the F11, F13 and F14 are really torquey. I look mainly at torque numbers and have not seen to many other H/C cars making the numbers I have. I personally put down 423 rwtq so I am please.

I have the TRak cam and without the car being tuned right now I can't see why I couldn't drive my car everyday. Only gets better with a tune. PRC doubles should be good for 15-20K miles with the TRak cam. I'll let you know how much power it makes Monday.

Another vote for Futral, F13 here. It runs great, and its not even tuned.

The cam is definitely very driveable, if your putting it in a vette, be prepared for normal people to look at you like you're retarted. Nasty, nasty idle. Big power!

were you happy with those result? I kinda thought that it would make a little more HP, although the TQ number doesn't seem to bad for that cam. So I guess with an M6 an 4.56's I could expect like what, maybe 20-30 more HP?

At least. It was 100* in the shop, and the rev limiter is set at 6500, which that cam should pull to 7K, or that's what I hear. Drivability is awesome. I'm happy.
