Default What could be causing......

My change oil light to come on after start up. I change my oil at normal intervals and recently switched from M1 to RP, same weight 5w30. It never did this in the past, could it be the oil or just a bad light/sensor? Any thoughts?

I think that there is 2 ways of doing it. Turn the key to "on" and hold down the trip reset button and it will reset the oil change. I have also heard that you can turn the key to "on" and send the accelerator to the floor 3 times quickly, and it will do it. I think that last one is bogus though.

I always use the pedal method. Works good. If you use the trip reset then it also resets the trip meter. I always use the trip meter to keep track of gas mileage and how much I drive a week and I don't want it to reset.

Ya that pedal method just worked fine for me. That light has been annoying me for the last 2 tanks. That was so simple it made me laugh.

My friend told me to do something like turn the key on and off 5 times then hit the reset 5 time then turn the car on.....didnt work

Yeah, pedal is the way to go. The trip reset pisses me off. However it works.
