Default Help! Guys with MS3....

I didn't get a cam card when I purchased my cam, and now I need the full specs so I can calculate my DCR.

I need the degree for ABDC to calculate, but I'll take the full specs if you got them. This is for the 237/242 603/609 113LSA. TIA!

So is that really a 236 intake lobe? Since Comp's lobes are even numbered it's either a 236 or 238 lobe, and the lift is probably really .602.

I'm not sure how much advance is ground in, but if you use the DCR calcualtor, I'd use these values since they're closer to Comp's lobes that they actually use:
236/242
.602/.610
113 +?

It's 113 +0. But I think I also need the degree for ABDC to use the DCR caculator.

Nope. You punch in the duration, lift, LSA, and advance. It does the rest, although you have to know what head gasket you're using.

Hmm, it's a little different than the calulator that I found. Do you have a link for the one that you use?

For what? IVC? IVO? EVC? EVO? Just use the calc. You'll see.

I have the MS3 Can sitting in a box and I have no cam card either. Disappointed for the amount of funds we spend at the speed shops. Oh well!!

That's A Horribly Late Ivc. And Still Doesn't Answer About It Not Matching Comp's Lobes. I Am Under The Impression Thatthey Only Grind The Lobes Offered In Their Catalog.

automatic trans not a manual here,i have seen small block chevys run as close as.050-.055 intake clearance at 7500 rpm.not saying i like it,but i have seen worse.tsp sinks the valves a little when you order the ms3 and the 5.3 -stage 2.5 with 2.02 valves just for this combo to work.He said they sell a lot of this combination, thats why i went with the truck heads over the ls6 heads. never too last yes ms3.on a side note my brother is an engine builder, has his own shop now for about 20 years, and every cam he orders from comp comes with a cam card.

Damn that PTV is tight, too tight IMO and from anything else I have read. Pray the piston and valves dont ever meet. .080 intake .100 exhaust seems to be the standard. And that tight on a street car with springs that may wear or any valve float and say bye to your engine.
