Default Smoking After Cam Install

I have an MS3 cam with an ls6 intake, lts, ory, and hooker catback. Its in a 2000 Camaro SS with 54000 miles on the motor and about 1500 miles after cam install without being run hard at all. It has been tuned. It also has used just a tad bit of oil in that time. The smoke is blueish. Is that oil smoke or just running rich. It smells like its just running real rich.

Also it doesn't start smoking until its warmed up to max operating temp with stock thermostat.

Has anyone ever had this problem and how can I fix it.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Have you touched your valves at all? Could possibly be a seal? ..

They had to put new valve seals in when they changed the valve springs.

guess is that it's a valve seal. if one wasnt pressed on fully there may be enough gap for oil to pass

If it was a PCV problem, would a catch can work.
I'm not even sure why people use catch cans. If someone could explain?

the PCV system tends to drag some oil along the way thus filling your intake with oil. They just put a oil catch can in the line in order to trap the oil and keep it from going into the intake. From the examples I've seen, it does seem to keep a fair amount of oil out. If that ends up being your problem, I'd talk to someone that has one and ask them.

Thanks a lot. The guy that worked on my car has the same cam and has had the same problem for a while. But his car did it also with an even smaller cam. I'll check and see what I can find.

And thanks for all the advice guys!!!!
