Default Pictures of the damage

Well I lost compression in the number 7 cylinder after my first trip to the track with the new set-up. Didn't even use the nitrous, I guess it was a good thing I didn't. What would have caused this? The last time I used the nitrous was on the dyno, and it ran fine after that.

same exact thing happened to me but on cyl. 5. found it during a cylinder leakdown test had about 80% leakage. I bought the car used but I never sprayed on it. Just got some forged pistons and called it a day. I really couldn't tell ya how it happened but the guy at the machine shop said he's only seen that happen to nitrous cars. made me wonder if my car was sprayed before i bought it.

what mods were done to your car? it looks like the ringlands blew out which is usually caused by over cylinder compression or heat. Maybe you weakened them on the dyno with the spray, and then it just let go at the track

Think it was a little over 560 on a 150 shot.

It looks to me like heat damage. I wouldn't be surprised if your top ring groove is beat out, and the top ring quit sealing. Fuel probably got into the land between the two compression rings, and burned itself away. The best fix for this is to retard the ignition timing. Since you're rebuilding the engine now, look for an improved ring pack.
