How much weight reduction? Auto or stick? Most heads/cam/bolt on cars are capable of running in the 10's on slicks with proper driving. What mods do you currently have?

u can definatly counting on replacing ur rear. so that's 1600-3000 depending on who u go thru and what kind of "guts" u get. If u have a stick, u gotta buy a clutch. I'd suggest a RAM 910 clutch setup or a McLeod twin disc. RAM is 900, full kit. The twin disc is 1000-200, full kit. If an auto then u need a converter and a shift kit. Then full exhaust, full induction, slicks and skinnies, suspension, h/c. Last thing, computer/dyno tuning and other little things like 160 deg thermo and **** like that. That should be it. OH, the most important thing......A GOOD DRIVER!!!! U could have a 10 second runner but u could be a 12 second driver. good luck and make sure u have some money

10's all motor is going to cost a LOT more, than if you were gonna spray. A simple hotcam kit, and a TNT 150 shot would easily get an LS1 into the 10's with a good driver, clutch, and rear. But all motor is gonna nail a bigger hole in the checkbook..
You'll need to give more info about your car before people can answer your question.

Since this is the internal section, I will assume you have all of the bolt-ons. With a light car you need only spend @$700 for a cam kit and you will be in the 10s in good air on a track that will hook.

oh sorry guys, I've got a 6 speed and allready have the mcleod twind disc, w/z06 slave and throwout, and mcleod master cylender, (not in yet)I plan on buying new guts for the rear end, I've been collecting parts and I wanted to do everything at once, I've allready went through three clutches, one of them being the centerforce dual friction clutch, and I must say that was the biggest crock of **** in the world, as far as the driver goes, I've been racing since I was a little kid and can out drive everybody I know, there's no problem there, the car allready has nitrous on it but I'd like to get it quicker without, or I think I for sure need to get some better pistons, if you have anything else to add please do so, thanks

Are you looking to go with a big motor or stock cubes. Either way might as well check into some LS6 cores and dual springs, because your gona need em anyway. Whoes gone button the motor back up when you tear it down, the shop are you. Still a lot more questions out there.

I'd do a 388-427ci cube motor with 11.5:1 compression, aluminum, LS6 heads, big cam, and some 1.875 full length headers.
I think you will be well over $10K for the stuff I mentioned.
I'd research Nineball's old car, car was full weight. I'd go a little smaller on cubes than him.

Yeah a cam kit for $700 or HotCam kit for $450; but remember you will need a computer tune for $450 also, or if you like to do your own tuning, $550 for LS1edit plus another $300 for EFILive5, plus another $800 for the laptop PC to run them on.
