Piston clearance
I have a set of stock LS6 heads that have been milled .015 and stock head gaskets. I was talking to my friend yesterday and he said that my pistons might hit my valves with my heads being milled like they are. Is this true?

Ive got the heads milled .015 and if so I will probably get custom gaskets. Does Felpro make them and what size would I need? Would I need custom PR's as well? Ive got 7.4s.

You should be fine with that cam. It is our Torquer v.2 camshaft. We have installed them with more than .015" milled off the heads. Just use another set of GM gaskets when you put the heads on. As always, it never hurts to check PTV but I would doubt there would be a problem.

I had a similar problem. .591/.601 w/ milled heads. Not sure how much they have been shaved, but they were stock 69CC chambers and are now about 57CC, is there a formula to calculate how much has been shaved?
That cam I got is installed -4, and it just did hit the pistons, just so you could see where they may have momentarily made contact.
/end hijack.
