Default I just bought these valves springs and dont know anything about them.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=020

They look like cranes dual springs to me and i am told that the third spring is just a dampener spring. Does anyone know what they are for sure? Will they fit the stock spring seats?

Eh i'm not too worried about the buy i am more worried about the fitment. They say comp cams but i looked at thunderracings page and the crane cam dual springs look just like them. Just wanted to post here and see what you all knew about them before i installed them.

yeah, it's a dual spring package, not triple....the thinner band is more of a dampener. As for if it fits...i guess you will see when you get them...

why woul you buy these when you can get a full set of dual patriots with all the goodies for 250. valvesprings are def not the part to cheap out on the valve train, and you dont know the mileage, lobes/ramp rates used on or anything, your hoping the guy is honest.

i wouldnt pay because its false avertising and you dont want used valvesprings. obviously the seller doesnt know **** about valvetrain

Yeah i just found out about the patriots. I looked at thunderracing before i bid on these to see how much springs were and somehow missed the patriots. I saw them tonight though. I guess i just wont pay for them because they arent triple springs and im pretty sure they are crane springs by the way they look.

What is the outside diameter? Should be slightly larger than 1-1/4". What is the inside diameter, will they fit over the valve seal?

I have a set of Crane 832's and the newer extreme Crane 833's, these springs don't look like either of the Crane setups and the retainer is different as well. Do you know what the spring rate is on them or anything at all? If you can find out the part numbers of the individual components it would help a lot.

Thanks for all the life lessons guys.... I just wanted someone to identify the springs. I have a dad to hound me about my financial expenditures. I have ls1tech to help me identify my ls1 parts.

One other thought, if the retainers/seats fit 921's, then your cost of admission isn't too bad as you can always pick up a set of new 921's. But you need to figure out your current part numbers. The Comp catalog as measurements, download the pdf version and start there.

so then they must be comp cams? I just looked at the first pic and they do look like comp cams except the inside winding is counter winded. I thought they looked more like the crane cams on thunder racing.
