Default Do These Cam Lobes Look Ok? Gurus Come In

Helping a buddy do cam/heads. Cam was purchased from a forum member with "5000 miles on it". Does the cam look ok? I want to know before we install it......lol.

Pics and the flash make it hard to tell but it looks useable. Just make sure there are no grooves or pitting on the lobes. If you can catch anything with your fingernail its a good idea to replace as many times it will likely take out the lifter roller over time.

Mic the lobes and that will tell you the truth.

I would say it is on the edge.you can see some wear in the center of a few lobe's that will put all the pressure on the 2 outside edge's of the roller.look's like more than 5k mile's

but still ok as of now. but i would say close to bad

just my .02
