Default Would I need to flycut the F13 with these heads and gasket??

I'm gonna be running the f13 on a 112 and will be getting some ported ls6 heads. My question is will running the heads at 61cc and a cometic .040 gasket require me to flycutt? Also, should I run the sodium valves with 918's or standard valves with duals?? TIA

Considering I ran the f14 with milled 30 darts and stock gaskets for a 58 cc chamber I would not think u have to flycut. As for springs I would prefer the added security of duals.

Hey Sigforty,
Did you CC your heads after you milled them? According to Dart 1 cc = .0055 , so if you milled .030 that would be 5.45 cc's. Assuming the as cast 62 cc chamber, that would put you at a little over 57 cc's. Just curious

I'm running an F14 on 5.3 heads (60cc) with 2.02" intakes and I ended up with .100"/.180" PtoV clearance I/E.

So like everybody says, it will probably work, but you'll need to measure.

I think you will be ok on the piston to valve clearance but I would clay it like the guy have already said for extra insurance. As far as the springs go I have Comp Cams 921 duels with my F13 cam. I would be afraid to run the Comp cam 918 single springs with that much lift and I rev my car to 6500RPM to 6600RPM before I shift. Good Luck

This thread is about what I've been thinking about lately. I have a Comp 224 / 228 112LSA with about 540 lift and I want to go larger. Problem is that I have the GMPP LS6 heads (part # 88958622). According to Scoggin-Dickey which carries them, they are 243 castings, milled .055" to give a chamber size of 60.9cc. I don't want to fly cut either.

I've been thinking about an F-11 or F-13 on a 112. Patrick G suggested one of his custom grinds: 230 / 232 111LSA +2 with .612 / .595. lift I/E. Gave him my specifications and he thinks it would work. In fact I'm thinking about buying it. My only reservation is clearance, will cams like these work for me?

I'd like to get more power, but my current set-up ain't too bad either (Mustang Dyno). Anybody else out there with a similar set-up and information as to clearance, power, and steet manners?

I would not expect any problems considering what I was running with the Darts. The Darts had bigger valves and smaller chambers then my ls6 heads with no issues running a Futral cam. Just make sure you get the right pushrod length and preload.

I just got it done and I'm running blind. I have a Wiat4me tune, but no dyno numbers. I'll try and get it dynoed in a few months.
