Exclamation Guess what was on my drain plug????

I drained my oil yesterday to find this spring..... I think its a valve stem seal piece but iono. I did the cam swap 3 or so oil changes ago and i changed them all. So ill have pics in about an hour.

You should put something next to it when you take a pic of it that way it gives everybody a concept of what size it is.

Yeah I was thinking oil pressure spring. Pull the font cover and see if the allen headed block off plug is still in there. Easier said then done right.

Did you try and shim the spring to more pressure? a lot of people do that.

It could be a spring piece from a seal but with out a size comparison it's hard to say.

damn didnt think of that, um its no bigger than a 1/4 inch long it is very small. I will see if i can take another pic. And the car seems to be running fine with good oil pressure???????

def. looks like whats in this pic.



it def. came from the bottom end of ur engine, i.e no engine problems.

if that came from up top end there would most likely be some problems.

I'd say, oil pump spring. You need to have a look @ the oil pump & see.
