You will have to swap springs. The stock ones will not work.

Will switching to the LS6 pick up that much difference in power? What about idle, will you even tell its a slightly bigger cam? Just curious.

i think its only about a 20 hp gain, but it will still drive like stock, and idle should be fine. i will tune the car anyways onec im done with hptuners. but im just looking for some cheap hp

I've got an LS6 in mine and you can't really tell the difference from an idle standpoint.

Just put mine in 2 weeks ago, 98 ws6 a4. I was real reluctant to put it in from what i read about the power gains but the power gains with the longtubes and ls6 intake really woke up the car past 3500 rpms. You will have to change the springs but use the stock ls1 pushrods. Have not got the car dyno'd since the cam but the *** dyno says there is more there. Good luck

even if you're gonna get the cam CHEAP....why not put in something bigger?

for all the hassle and expense (gaskets) you may as well get 40hp instead of 20hp.

something mild like the 224 cam would be fantastic...and has been PROVEN to perform very well.

ls6 cam is great, peak hp or tq numbers are misleading, what your getting is another 500rpm and 20 hp where it counts.
